Callemondah Rail Project Overview

JWB Constructions completed a turnout and track upgrade project in Callemondah. The project involved the replacement of life expired track sections. The replacement of the railway ladder and associate track and level crossings was undertaken over 3 stages between September 2017 and April 2018. All components were successfully replaced with new 60kg rail seated on new Sekisui FFU composite bearers. This project involved the very first composite turnout installation in Queensland!

Scope of Works for the Callemondah Project

The construction works for this rail project in Callemondah included:

• 8 turnouts
• 350m track
• 1 main road level crossing
• Full ballast replacement & earthworks throughout
• Subgrade treatment for hard rock areas
• Quality works (Weld/adjust/resurface/heights & staggers)
